Drifters Brewing Co, Kamala Mills | New Opening
Drifters Brewing Co. is another addition to the Kamala Mill Pub Chain. For a city that needs to unwind due to its excessively fast pace, it sure doesn’t hurt to add another brewery to help us ease the pace.
High ceilings, wooden tables, a long and large bar immediately takes away from a cramped day at work. So office peeps, if you’ve been stuffed at your desk all day, the ambience of this place is going to make you feel better. Ping Pong tables, board games, dim lighting and just a very open vibe makes Drifters a seemingly fun place to hang out with friends.
They offer a variety of beers that are freshly brewed. Beers of different flavors, ranging from light, medium to dark are options to choose from and if you don’t have a favorite go-to, you’ll be quite confused as to which to pick. Two Beers you should definitely try: Apple Cider (4.5% Alcohol) and the Milky Way Stout (4% Alcohol) which had hints of Coffee and Chocolate.
Moving on to the food, Drifters Brewing Co offers you a mix of Mediterranean, Turkish and Spanish cuisine. The lamb kibbeh and the egg kebabs were personal favorites. The little green chilly ‘thetcha’ served with the egg kebab is something we wouldn’t mind packing up for home.
A little disappointed with the Mediterranean Mezze; the pita felt a little leathery and the hummus was slightly bland, though the olives with the burnt garlic were decent.
The Croquettes de Arroz could have had more cheese to overpower what felt like a mouthful of just rice. However, the chicken pita sliders were nice with moist chicken patties with a smear of the butter garlic mayo makes for a tasty bite to gulp down the beer with. The Seafood Paella was spicy with abundance of seafood and this hit the right spice levels!
Well, overall, Drifter Brewing Co. would be a great place to vent out that stress over some games and chugging wars. You have a wide menu to choose what you’d like to munch on while you can play away your night, gulping down some freshly brewed beer!
