Our gorgeous getaway at Grand Hyatt Goa | MF Travels
In the hustle of our routine, it is difficult to make time for things that matter. We might want to travel, switch off and explore but something always seems to intervene and another year passes by. However, one look at Grand Hyatt Goa and we were determined to make our Goa trip work (anyhow) and hey, it did!
Greeted by the sweeping views of Bambolim Bay, the first look of the property took our breath away. The décor of the space came across as warm and inviting with a beautiful colour scheme of dark wood and cream furnishings. A refreshing wet wipe and a fresh mixed fruit drink was presented to us at check-in and we started to feel our city stresses melting away.
Our room was contemporary, styled in a relaxed natural tone and boasted one king bed with feather pillows, a 10-square-metre private balcony and a spacious marble bathroom. Post our check-in, we headed off to satiate our caffeine fix at Confeitaria Coffee which serves 35 different types of coffees from different regions paired with artisanal breads and snacks.
We have our best memories from our spa treatment at the hotel’s Shamana Spa where a mind-blowing massage and facial spoiled us silly. The spa is one of the largest in India and should not be missed. With great attention-to-detail and excellent techniques, ourt herapists ensured we were enveloped in total TLC.
Eating around the property couldn’t have been more fun as we were literally spoilt for choice. Be it savouring the traditional Indian flavours at Chulha, five world cuisines at The Dining Room or experiencing the unique ambience of the popular Capiz Bar or Pool Bar and Grill, we treated our taste-buds to a culinary extravaganza during the course of our stay here.
If I was forced to pick a favourite, I’d say our we had our best meal at Verandah where we indulged in irresistible Italian fare. The Mushroom Cappuccino was like a creamy, warm hug that we’ll be coming back for. We were transported to a tiny trattoria in Rome as we sampled a wide array of antipasti, risotto, gnocchi, and freshly baked bread. This just goes to show that when food is simple, hearty and crafted using the freshest ingredients and seasonal produce; the results can be magical.
With a quiet, private beach, rooms that are positively delightful and food that is creatively conceptualized and styled, we discovered that Grand Hyatt Goa ticks all the boxes for a fun and relaxed holiday. The service is engineered to make one feel at home from the get go. Located close to the airport, this is the perfect destination for a quick weekend pick me up before you head back to the hustle and bustle of reality.
