At any karaoke night, you will often find amateur and even professional singers having their own little concert while friends cheer on. Noise or music, you decide. But it’s fun to summon your inner Beyoncé every now and then, right?

The Irish House, Lower Parel

When: Mondays

Beating the blues, The Irish House can be your pick if you love a rugged ambience, great Irish beer and cocktails. Frequented by office goers and a mature crowd, you can expect music from the 80s and 90s on their list of songs.

What to eat: Grande Nachos, Hummus Platter, Pesto Pasta

Raasta, Khar

When: Mondays

Inspired by Bob Marley, the logo and décor elements of this space are a bright yellow, red and green. Expect a happening vibe with a long list of old and new English tunes to choose from.

What to eat: Pizza, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Brownie

Tipsy Gypsy, Andheri

When: Mondays

The interiors of this gastropub are an embodiment of the word fabulous. Their bar is a massive boom box (!!) and they have a mix of English and Bollywood songs on their karaoke list.

The Bombay Bronx, Breach Candy

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays

This South Mumbai bar, is an ode to everything Mumbai stands for: vada pav, BEST buses and Amitabh Bachchan. If the interiors are any indication, this place is paradise for Bollywood lovers. On Tuesdays, they have Bollywood Karaoke while Thursdays are for English Karaoke.

What to eat: Biryani, Keema Pav, Dhokla Pakoda, Chicken Kheema Pizza

The Little Easy, Bandra

When: Tuesdays

This relatively new spot in Bandra has caught our fancy with their long list of cocktails and lip smacking food. They have a huge selection of English tunes to choose from and what’s best is everyone who sings gets a free kamikaze shot!

What to eat: Mini Naan Bombs, Cheese Fondue, Mezze Platter

3 Wise Monkeys, Khar

When: Wednesdays

Raw wooden interiors and a sports bar vibe, this is a chill space for beer and karaoke lovers. You’ll find all your favourite classic English songs on their list. Also, their Vashi branch has Bollywood karaoke on Wednesdays.

What to eat:  Risotto, Nachos, Pizza

Road House Bluez, Andheri

When: Thursdays

This space is reminiscent of rock music from the 80s through its interiors and music. Karaoke here is of course a long list rock songs plus classic numbers that you just can’t stop humming even once you leave Road House Bluez.

What to eat: Kung Pao Chicken, Nachos, Pepperoni Pizza

Door No. 1, Bandra

When: Sundays

A quaint little bar in the queen of suburbs that’s always up to fun events and gigs, every day of the week. They have a INR 99 menu for food and drinks that you can enjoy while singing and swaying to your favourite English songs.

The Little Door, Andheri

When: Sundays

Known for their jazz nights, human-sized jenga and foosball table, The Little Door is a lively space with fairy lights and European interiors. The singing here happens alongside the Sunday drunch, making it a different experience than any other Karaoke spot in the city.
