Pizzas You’ve Got To Try | Dishticle
It was only a matter of time before we wrote about the best pizzas in the city. These poetic pieces of bread with sauce and toppings are loved by errybody. They’re just as good to eat at parties as to gobble in pyjamas on chill nights.
Here are (in no order) our five favourite pizza spots in the city!
Whether you’re at their outlet in Dubai, London, or BKC, the pizzas taste the same. The quality of their ingredients and their consistency across the globe make them special. If there’s one place your NRI cousin can’t dare show off about, it’s got to be this one.
Quick tip: The Padana with goat’s cheese, mozzarella, spinach, and garlic oil or the American are our preferred pies. We can’t be friends if you don’t order the Dough Balls.
Joey’s Pizza, Andheri & Malad
The Mumbai Foodie HQ orders from here at least once a month. Our constant ideology clash is having to pick between their Meat Ultimo (sausages, bacon, roast chicken, & extra cheese), and The Meats Pizza (pepperoni, sausage, bacon, & ham). Vegetarians should get the China Gate for spice or the Vegetarian Feast if you want something more loaded. This place is reserved for cheat day.
Quick tip: Order. Move to Andheri (or Malad) if you have to.
Woodside Inn, Colaba & Oshiwara
Their thin, crisp pizza pies here are extremely underrated. They generously top them off with fresh, rustic toppings, a balanced, tangy sauce of choice (we recommend the pesto), and a nearly perfect proportion of cheese. If you want a great all-rounder pizza, this is an excellent, consistently good place to visit. Ask nicely for the Italian Pork Pepperoni Pizza or Roasted tomatoes, bell peppers, & wild mushrooms.
Quick tip: They’ve always got a marvelous collection of beers on tap.
The Playlist Pizzeria, Bandra
Making our pizzas here by picking size, base, sauce, cheese, and toppings is as close as we come to being artists. For days when we’re too lazy or scared for that, we flip the page and order from their menu. The pizzas are named after songs, and they may even taste like music if you order well. They also get bonus points for being affordable and filling.
Quick tip: Try their newer ones – Drop The Game (jalapeno and crispy bacon) or Cheerleader (jalapenos, olives, mozzarella, and chef’s tomato sauce).
Terttulia, Dadar (W)
Pune’s favourite café-style restaurant has received a lot of love here, even though Terttulia flies under the radar. Their pizza crust is light and thin, like it’s made in Italy. The simple menu of 5-6 choices are peppered with classics, like Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese with onions, capers, and dill or their signature Pizza Terttulia-aah! with rucola, scamorza, parmigiano, and creamy spinach.
Quick tip: Terttulia is prettier through the day and scientifically slows down time on Sunday.
