A project that has been in the works for years is finally seeing the light of day. A ferry service from Mumbai to Goa is starting in December, 2017! The news was declared by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, so there’s no sign of fake news, guys!

The vessels will be able to accommodate up to 300 people at once, and are fully air conditioned luxury liners.

The seven hours long journey will have stops along the Konkan Coast, in the small coastal towns of Dighi, Dabhol, Jaigad, Vijay Durg and Malvan.

Another piece of wonderful news, is that this venture under the Sagar Mala project, which aims at port-led development, is estimated to create 10 million employment opportunities.

Hotels in Goa are also in the works of creating floating jetties to facilitate tourists to their resorts.
