Oktoberfest 2016 at The Irish House | MF Guide
The Irish House is hosting Mumbai’s biggest, longest Oktoberfest celebration. They’ll have live music, special festive food, super deals on beer, and charged-up drinking games in German-themed décor. The festivities shall last till 27th October.
Here’s our quick breakdown of all the fun!
The Irish House likes beer from all over the world as much as we do. All international craft and draft beers like Erdinger, Hoegaarden, Stella and more are available on tap at Rs 295++. If you prefer a pint, you can get ALL international beers like Hoegaarden, Erdinger, Corona, Tsingtao, Stella, or Guinness, at Rs 345++.
Quick tip: Yep, we’re definitely getting Guinness at that price.
The menu for the festival is completely German, with Sauerkraut, Spatzle, Beer-doused Sausages, classic Pretzels, delicious Drunken Mushrooms and Apple Strudel.
Quick tip: The cheesy af Drunken Mushroom and homely Apple Strudel gets our vote.
The décor is inspired by the streets of Bavaria, the German state housing Munich where Oktoberfest originates. Friday evenings will see super-energetic drinking games that you can play with your friends or versus the bartender. Bring along your squad for Beer Relay, or pay tribute to Jenga with Cup Stack, or showoff your chugging skills with Chugathon.
Go head-on with the Irish House bartenders at Coin Toss, Dice Roll, or High Card to win beer and shots along with free bragging rights with your pretzels.
Quick tip: Everyone who’s buzzed is a winner.
Each Irish House venue gets an unplugged gig on Wednesday evening. Artists performing include singer-songwriters Vernon Noronha, Rohit Vasudevan, Pooja Sharma and Shanay Shah. For more details, check their event page here: https://www.facebook.com/TheIrishHouseIndia/events/
