What’s pretty, nutritious and tastes delicious? If it sounds too good to be true then you haven’t tried a smoothie bowl yet! While scrolling through my Instagram feed I always manage to catch a few images of these gorgeous bowls. I am almost always completely bowled over (pun intended :p) by how pretty and yummy they look. To top it off, they are apparently extremely healthy as well. If that isn’t a win-win situation, I don’t know what is.

Make it at home
If you’re too lazy to step out, then why not try your hand at making a smoothie bowl at home? Trust us, they’re pretty easy. Here’s one recipe that will help you:
Chocolate peanut butter smoothie bowl
What do you need?
200g plain low-fat yoghurt
125ml low-fat milk
1 banana, sliced
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp maple syrup
2 to 3 ice cubes
½ banana, peeled and sliced
1 tbsp cacao nibs
1 tbsp shredded coconut
How to prepare?
Blend the yoghurt, milk, banana, cacao powder, peanut butter, maple syrup and ice cubes until the texture becomes smooth. Transfer the mix in a bowl and top it up with sliced banana, cacao nibs, peanuts and shredded coconut. And, your smoothie bowl is ready!
