Inside Twisted LA, Bandra – A Cheese Lover’s Paradise | All The Deets

Food From La La Land At Twisted LA, Bandra

If Hollywood resides in LA-LA land then Bollywood calls Bandra home. This is where Mumbai comes for easy living, great food and endless options. Twisted LA is this neighbourhood’s newest entrant bringing us a cheesy, cone inspired menu while trying to stand out of the crowd. I feel like I’ve seen everything from pizza to French fries in a cone, so I wondered what made Twisted LA so unique.

Turns out that their spread goes beyond a twisted waffle. They have balanced a good variety of healthy and indulgent appetizers with flavours from Mexican, German, Chinese and other cuisines to create a menu that is unique and really diverse. Oftentimes this can create problems however I felt like they managed to tie everything together well.

The menu features salads, sandwiches, burgers, melts, crepes, milkshakes and tons more. We saw a few prawn, shrimp, crab and a lobster dishes on the menu that will give all you seafood lovers the chance to satisfy your fishy appetites. Let’s just say, there’s something for everyone here and if you’re a cheese lover, you’re in for a treat.

They call themselves a delivery kitchen but this miniature space has two tables, bright walls adorned with Hollywood landscapes and pretty lights to bless your insta-feed with cool pictures.

What we ate:

Chicken & Waffle Cone

Sriracha and maple syrup is an unconventional combination that has become mainstream so I didn’t find this dish especially unique but I still polished off the whole thing!

Mac & Cheese Cone

You can’t really go wrong with cheesy macaroni, especially when it’s topped with Cheetos dust and truffle oil.

Prawn Tempura Cone

Crispy and succulent at the same go, these fried prawns were love at first bite.

Mexican style sandwich

A fine melt-in-your-mouth blend of avocado, jalapeno and cheese that I would have ordered twice, but luckily sense prevailed as I had to taste 17 other items.

Break the wall Salad

Break The Wall Salad

Inspired by Mexico, this salad featured a generous portion of guacamole (always a winner with me) and it didn’t disappoint. Sabroso!

Lobster & Cheese sandwich

Crunchy and cray, with lots of cheese. Need I say more?

Cheesy Popstar Burgliner

A spicy, tangy and cheesy mix of deep-fried jalepeno and cheese. Definitely take a slow-mo video of breaking this apart.

Kale salad with apple & dried berries

This sweet and sour salad was not my favourite from the lot, but if you love kale, you might enjoy it more than I did.

Berry Cheesecake Milkshake

Frothy and creamy, pair this chilled shake with the Mexican style sandwich for some divine feels.

L.A cotton candy Milkshake

Think we should’ve called for a chocolate one instead as this one was super sweet.

Twix Woopie

Woopies are basically chocolate bars like mars, snickers or twix – deep fried. I tried the Twix one and loved it, and whoever thought of this equation I think deserves an award.

Yes, I ate a lot here, but if you put dollops of cheese on my plate on any given day of the week, I will turn it into a cheat day. Am I going back here for a cheese coma? Definitely.
