My Rejuvenating Getaway At Bohemyan Blue Stay, Alibaug | MF Travels
Every once in a while, you reach your breaking point with work and you need to just get away! For some it maybe a relaxing spa, adventure sports, or just staying at a swanky luxury hotel suite. I always opt for the third category, but this time I decided to try something different!
For my much-needed getaway, I decided to try out a luxury camping experience at Bohemyan Blue Stay in Alibaug. Serenity and calmness is what I was looking for, and this place offers just that. Rustic luxury tents surrounded by nature help you have a comfortable stay amongst the peace and quiet of nature.
On arrival, I was welcomed with refreshing rose water as their courteous staff led me to my tent. I was informed that the resort has 10 tents and the entire place runs on solar energy, they even have a natural swimming pool!
I also noticed that this place looks even better than what you can see online. It’s honestly pretty perfect for a romantic getaway too! In fact the well-known model Milind Soman even got married here!
My accommodation was quite spacious with an attached bathroom and no concrete walls so you can enjoy the sound of nature as you sleep. The tents are equipped with an air-conditioner, a cooler and a television set and a WIFI connection. They extend into a beautiful outer section where you can relax on a hammock while listening to some music or simply indulge in some star-gazing! I personally loved the rustic, old-fashioned look of the tents which gave me a feel of a semi-urban environment.
Owing to the monsoons, all the popular restaurants in Alibaug were shut! I anyway had no intention of leaving my beautiful tent, so I just ordered in from their cafe. The in-house cafe called The Bohemyan Blue Cafe is located a short distance from the resort, where you can place your order from 11 AM to 7 PM. You can even walk up there for your meal. The cafe is a small quaint space with rustic looking interiors, a few hammocks and an open kitchen. It even houses a boutique store, where you can get in a bit of retail therapy if all the solitude is getting too much for you.
The cafe has an extensive menu with a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. I tried quite a few dishes and highly recommend the Chicken Cream Pasta, Konkani Fish Fry and the Grilled Zucchini and Bell pepper Cheese Sandwich.
Dog lovers will be pleased as the cafe is home to quite a few number of playful dogs!
Things to explore around:
You have Kihim Beach located just 3.4 kms away where you go for moonlight beach walks. The area around has fun activities like go-karting, horseback riding and mountain bike riding to explore.
Connecting with nature:
If you want to experience a taste of wilderness, this is the place to be. The hectic city life can wear you out and the best possible way to get energized is to rekindle your connection with nature.
My suggestion would be to carry a book, that you have been attempting to read for the longest time and find your spot in this beautiful resort and just get on it. Trust me you won’t regret it!
You can make a reservation on any of the online booking portals or on their website too.
