Drink Some of the Freshest Coffee in Town at this Roastery
Sitting in the quaint alleyway of Chium Village in Khar, Koinonia Coffee Roasters promises to deliver some of the freshest coffee and one-of-a-kind desserts in the city.
And boy does it live up to its word!
The first thing you will notice when you enter is their swanky roasting machine. If you walk in at the right time, you will be welcomed by the fresh scent of coffee beans roasting and the whirring of the device. With seating only for a dozen patrons, Koinonia Coffee Roasters has built a koinonia (Greek for ‘community’) of coffee drinkers in the area who seamlessly work a way to share the space.
Shannon and Clement, the masterminds behind this coffee haven, saw that Indian coffee consumers were being failed by the way the coffee industry functioned. 80% of coffee grown in India is exported. And India is left with mass-produced coffee that is not as good or as fresh. In the process of changing that, they work with several coffee estates around the country. This not only brings high-quality Indian coffee directly to consumers but also provides a fairer deal for the coffee farmers.
On a Keto diet? Not a coffee drinker? Intimidated by coffee because you don’t have any knowledge? Koinonia Coffee Roasters’ community is all about inclusion. The team at Koinonia Coffee Roasters – Clement, Shannon, their in-house Super-Trooper Prashasti Pandey and the precisely trained baristas are always ready to answer any and all questions you may have about coffee. Their Keto-friendly coffee, with coconut undertones, is something we recommend to all fans of coconuts. Their Affogato Bar with speciality ice cream from BONO Boutique Ice cream is for anyone who loves desserts. And who doesn’t enjoy desserts!
