Here I am. Back again with my next neighbourhood guide that is centred around, Borivali. Think: Dahisar, Mira Road and Kandivali. What makes this guide unique is the fact that there are so many hidden gems in this part of the city that are yet to be explored. Check out my recommendations.

Dahisar

Mondo Fine Dine

When I dined at Mondo Fine Dine, it was rated 4.9 on Zomato and that’s precisely why I tried it out. The restaurant has got a cute, romantic vibe with a small garden outside. The space is quite small so need to reserve a table before you head there. But, it’s their food that sets them apart – they have two degustation menus that have Indian and global options. Vegetarian, chicken or mutton, pick your favourite 6 or 9 course menu and you’re in for a memorable dining experience.

Where: Shop 1, Omkareshwar, New Link Road, Kanderpada, Dahisar West

The Indian Affair

This restaurant is so tiny that if you don’t pay attention you might end up missing it which you don’t want to do that if you love Butter Chicken. Probably, the best in Dahisar (many will debate), pair their butter chicken with their buttery naan or super soft roomali roti. Apart from this, you should definitely try their biryani and chaas.

Royale Masterchef Finedine and Bar

This restaurant tops my list for the best Chicken Lasagne. They have listed it as their all-time favourite and rightly so! In their starters, I am obsessed with their Prawns Golden Fried and you shouldn’t leave the place without trying it too. Royale Masterchef Finedine and Bar definitely lives up to its name.

Mira Road

Cafe Miranda

If you’re craving a wholesome English breakfast, Cafe Miranda has got you covered with their range. Apart from this you have to try their Peri Peri Churros which are really too good to be true. To top it off, the cafe has really cute interiors and their bakery section is to die for. I don’t mind going to Mira Road only to eat at Cafe Miranda.

Kokani Katta

Crab. Masala. Thali. Sounds tempting, to say the least. Zomato lists this place in their Super Seafood section so, needless to say, it’s heaven for seafood lovers. I would say, if Malwani cuisine is on your mind, close your eyes and head to Kokani Katta.

Bukhara Bar and Kitchen

With a dhaba-like ambience, Bukhara Bar and Kitchen specialises in almost everything – wood-fired pizzas, khow suey, kebabs, biryani to noodles. But, I would opt in for their tikka range – paneer or chicken and of course, the classic chicken lollipop. Have their starters with a beer and your weekend plan is sorted!

Kandivali

Ebony Fine-Dine

If there’s one place in Kandivali that is apt for an evening with your family, it’s Ebony Fine-Dine. Now, their interiors might be little dark but the vibe is just perfect for romantic dinners and family get togethers. Salads, pasta or sizzlers- this multi-cuisine restaurant also serves exceptional cocktails making it a great option for a weekend as well.

The Avenue

It would be safe to say that this part of Mumbai specializes in North Indian cuisine. The Avenue is no different and honestly, I am not complaining. Because who ever heard of a thing as too many kebabs?

 Cafe Social Beans

Café Social Beans is a cute, colourful cafe with the best European and Italian food in the area. They have cute graffiti on the wall that reads ‘Meet-Eat-Repeat’ and if that’s your life motto, then make sure you don’t skip this cafe on your next visit to Kandivali.
